BEATING DIABETES WITH A HIGH ALKALINE FOODS DIET

Eating a diet high in alkaline foods will help keep you full while avoiding starchy carbs and simple carbs. Overeating these foods will definitely help you to have a belly fat problem and have your body squirting insulin throughout the day. So much insulin production can make your cells “insensitive” to the insulin, which pushes the sugars into your cells. When the cells start to NOT respond to the insulin, you have the beginnings of a diabetes problem.

Eating a diet of starchy carbs (pasta, bread) and simple carbs will set you on the road to diabetes. Try to take in only enough calories from carbs to burn until your next meal. Get quality energy from foods like non-starchy veggies and some fruits. These foods are not as calorie dense and provide minerals, vitamins and phytonutrients that helps your energy supply skyrocket!  Eating a diet of 70% alkaline foods will allow your body to balance its pH, rest well and do required maintenance work to keep you healthy and youthful.

An important part of beating diabetes is water consumption. Most diabetics are dehydrated when first diagnosed and must drink water throughout the day to help normalize blood sugar levels. Raw alkaline veggies and fruits have a very high water content and are highly recommended for consumption. There are some researchers around the world who believe that diabetes is a symptom of long-term dyhydration. This may not have been proven and is hotly debated. Despite the argument, diabetes patients are advised by their doctors to drink plenty of water everyday. Slow Diabetes with a High Alkaline Foods Diet
